Mr. Jimmie Lee Monroe passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, after courageously battling a long illness . He was born in 1952 to Jimmie and Thelma Monroe in Swainsboro, Georgia. He is survived by his mother, sister Elizabeth Ann Monroe, of Rensselaer, NY, brothers Ricky Monroe, NJ, Clinton Monroe, Texas, Norman Monroe, E. Greenbush, NY, 3 nieces, Anna Monroe, Sapphire Monroe, Sarah Northrop, 3 nephews, Robert Bailey, James Bailey, Zeus Lorenzo Monroe, as well as a multitude of great nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Saturday, April 11 at 3pm with service immediately following at 4pm at T. Revels-Gibson, 144 Eagle St., Utica, NY
