Obituary of Robert Frank Pearson, Sr.

Robert Frank Pearson, of Utica,NY, passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2015, opening his arms to God in eternal peace. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Robert Pearson was born in Clayton Alabama on April 2, 1937 to the late Lemon and Christine Pearson. Robert Pearson spent his life loving his family, being a hard worker, dancing, fishing and traveling. Robert was a God fearing man. He believed in treating those you know as they would treat you. He took care of his family unselfishly throughout the years. Robert always states that you always have to work hard in life for the things you want. Robert retired from Utica Radiator/Boilers after 30+ years of dedicated service. Robert will always be remembered for his wide brim hats, sharp suits, jewelry, and a good dice game. Robert married his high school sweetheart Ollie Mae (Jackson) Pearson August 13, 1958 (56 years). Robert is predeced in death by his parents Lemon and Christine Pearson, three brothers Thomas Pearson, Willie James Pearson and John Pearson, three sisters Ida Bell Perry, Annie Mae Eutsey, Barbara Ann Heyward. He is survived by his wife Ollie Mae (Jackson) Pearson, and to this union six children were born Rose (Stanley) Simmons, Morris (Tia) Pearson, Robbie (Lawrence) Pearson, Rodney Darrell, Sr., Robert Pearson, Jr., and Allitia Pearson. Also, a newphew who was like a son to him, Steve Pearson. Ten Grandchildren; Genese Simmons, Jeremy Simmons, Kristina Hill, Kamryn Hill, Giovanni Pearson, Robert Pearson the third, Trevaughn Pearson, TaShawn Pearson, Iyanna Pearson, Rodney Pearson Jr. He also cherished a loving and special relationship with nephew and niece Stanley and Rebecca Sykes. He also cherished his numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to his Granddaughter Genese Simmons and carergiver Pamela Tillery for their expectional care of our father in his last days. He also leaves to cherish his memory brother Lwmon (Lula B) Pearson. Three sisters Mrs. Lille Mae (Robert Earl) McKay, Mrs. Ella Mae Walker, Mrs. Mary (Freddie) Parker. Family and friends may call on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Greater Highway Deliverence Temple, 1705 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY with viewing hour at 12pm and service immediately following.
