Obituary of Lyle Thomas Johnson

The Lord called home his son, Lyle Thomas Johnson, on February 12, 2016. Lyle, the son of Thomas and Minnie Warmack Johnson, was born on August 16, 1965 in Utica, New York.
Lyle, a graduate of Utica Free Academy and a veteran of the US Military (Army) stationed at Ft. Ord, CA., met and married Michelle Rowland. From this union, they had a son, De'Leon Johnson whose siblings include: Giovanni, Booklyn, Mayla and Mathew Johnson. Post enlistment, Lyle worked for the New Hartford Animal Hospital and the Utica City School District.
Lyle is survived by his mother Minnie Johnson; brother Scott Johnson; children: Mathew, De'Leon, Giovanni, Brooklyn, and Mayla; Aunts: Rosetta Yarborough and Ann Washington: Godmother Mary Freeman Butler and cousins: Terry, Reggie, Keith, Monica, Darwin, Lindy and Devin with whom he was raised.
The family would like to give special acknowledgement and gratitude to Lyle's cousin, Lisa Fail (RN); and Hospice Care nurse Crystal (RN), that took special care of Lyle during his illness.
Family and friends may call on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00 am at Hope Chapel AME Zion Church, 751 South St., Utica, NY with service immediately following at 12:00 pm.
