Jabar Malek Harris, born in Brooklyn, NY on November 28, 1986 was schooled in the Catskills region and Schenectady, NY.
Jabar met the love of his life, Wanda Regist in June, 2007 in Schenectady, NY and they later moved to Utica, NY on April 28, 2014. Jabar and Wanda were married on May, 12, 2015 which began the beginning of a beautiful journey.
Jabar leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Wanda, stepchildren: Nancy Regist, Alfredo Regist, Victor Regist and Estella Regist; siblings: Michael Harris (Catskills, NY), Emily Cruz and Darlene Dorrington.
Jabar loved techno music, technology, nature and the X-box. He was a true family man who was always there for he loved. Jabar loved to walk and explore all the world had to offer. He was a true believer of “The Book” and would love to share his knowledge with those who would listen.
The family would like to extend their thankfulness to the staff of the 3rd Floor of the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, especially to nurses: Christina, Jeff and Mike.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 11:00am – 12:00pm with service immediately following at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home, 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY 13501. Interment will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Forest Hill Cemetery.
