Obituary of Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones, 78 of Utica New York peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 20, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Born September 7, 1937 in Dublin Georgia to Carrie Bell and Willie D Jones. Aaron was a self-taught man. A jack of all trades and a master of many. He was joined into marriage on August 24, 1965 to his loving wife Janet Lent in which he shared 50 wonderful years of union. He is survived by his wife Janet, his daughters Sandra Howell of Dublin Georgia, Tammi King (Cleveland Leggions), Kelly King (Leon McLean), Laura Campbell (Andre Walker), Carrie Craig ​and Tony Jones ​all of Utica,New York. Aaron is also survived by two sisters, Grace Conway and Minnie Hodges and a sister in law Mazell Jones all of Dublin Georgia. He had a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren too many to name but adored and loved them all in a very special way. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. He was a wonderful man Who dedicated his life to his family and taught them the importance of being there for one another. He will forever be remembered for his good nature and infectious laugh. The family would like to give special acknowledgment and gratitude to hospice nurses Crystal and Ann who were very supportive to the family. The family would also like to acknowledge two very special friends Sue Mae and Walkery Mills for their many dedicated years of friendship. Aaron was predeceased by his parents, two sisters Linnie Wells and Jewel Mosley a brother James Jones all of Dublin Georgia, his grandson Joshua King and son-in-law Havi Craig of Utica. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all family and friends who have kept the Jones family in their thoughts and prayers and in respect of Aaron wishes the family will be having a remembrance service at his home 1115 Dudley Ave. Utica New York on Saturday, August 27 beginning 1 PM.
