I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Earl when I worked at VHS from 2009-2013 in the business office where he would visit daily. When the place or the job got to me I would go to Earl's room just to sit and chat. I felt honored because not just anyone could enter his domain. He would talk always of his children and even show me report cards when they arrived. He was so very proud of you all. I knew little about baseball and he was quick and anxious to fill me in on the sport. I researched Dave for him and we had new things to talk about for hours. I thought he might be a little bitter being such an athlete and living there, but that wasn't even close to being the case. I found him so humble and happy for others good fortune's though he had little himself those past few years. For Christmas one year I took a chance and bought him an autographed Dave Cash baseball card. He had tears in his eyes and said he would cherish it. I love you Earl. You are dearly missed my friend and thought of often. God Bless your beautiful family.

I am so sorry to hear that Earl passed away. IEarl and I were were team members, and friends while we swam for the Utica YMCA swim team back in the 1960's. My condolences to Earl's family. I have fond memories of our time together. Rest in peace my friend, God bless Earl.

my best friend ever since age 13, We attended kernan school, where we won city championship in baseball. We played American Legion baseball, for Fort Schuler post, and we were room mate 5 yrs we were amigos. There was another friend Armon Ricci, we all played ball together, and hung out in life. Where there was one there was three. Armon is in a nursing home, and so was earl, Before Earls callin I drove down to Herkimer, to pick him up which would be his last time with me, We then drove to pickj up Armon, Once agin the three amigos. I spoke with Earl, on Wednesday after hearing of another friends passing. Then God CALLED Earl home on Sunday. My great and long life friend. Im gonna miss you my BUDDY, IM GONNA MISS YOU MY FRIEND MY GREATEST FRIEND. YOU ARE NOW FREE OF WHAT IMPRISONED YOU FOR YEARS, AND GOD SAID YOU SUFFERED ENOUGH. LOVE YOU SO MUCH
