Florie M. Darby, 65 of Utica, NY, born on May 8, 1951 in Kingstree, South Carolina to Evelena S. Darby and Bootsie Pendergrass, passed away on February 21, 2017.
Florie lived in Utica, NY the majority of her adult life, she loved to talk about "old times" and would give her last to help others. She also loved making people laugh!
Florie leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Maurice Darby and her daughter, Sonia Darby; grandchildren: Shanae Darby, Maressa Darby, Shante Darby, Reece Darby, Jr., Tyrice Darby, Tayhime Darby and three great grandchildren. Brother, Henry Darby; sister Marylois Walker and cousins: Jolyn Rollins (Noonie), Sheila Billins and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.
Florie is predeceased by her daughter, Jamilla Darby.
The family would like to thank everyone for the flowers, cards and kindness during this time of grief.
Family and friends may call on Friday, February 24, 2017, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home, 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY 13501 and Florie's funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm.
