Obituary of Thomas Hutchinson, Jr.

THOMAS  HUTCHINSON, JR., 63, of Utica, NY went home to be with the Lord on May, 17, 2017 with his family by his side.

Thomas, the son of Thomas Hutchinson, Sr., and Maude Mae Hardy, was born on September 11, 1953 in Woodbine, Georgia.  Upon his high school graduation, Thomas enlisted into the United States Air Force, where he became a specialist working on aircraft and other mechanical specialty as well as the SAC Program (Strategic Air Command).  Thomas served during the Desert Storm/Shield War and then retired to the reserves of the United States Air Force.   Upon retirement from the Airforce, Thomas relocated to Utica, NY and became a receiving clerk at the Utica Cutlery, which he then retired. 

Thomas was known for his love of his family, planes, airshows, car shows, NASCAR, antique shops and movies.  He was also a member of Grace Church and a true follower of the Lord. 

Thomas leaves to honor and mourn his memory, his children:  Isabella Hutchinson and Dionne Taylor Cook; sisters:  Delores (Joe) Williams; Carol Hutchinson and Judy Hutchinson.  And his longtime companion, Maureen Taylor; and with this union there are three grandchildren:  Zoey Ross; Diamani Cook and Dominque Cook; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Hutchinson (Maude Mae Hardy), Sr., and his brother, Ronald Hutchinson. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Kunkle Ambulance Service and Faxton-St Luke's Emergency and ICU department and T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home for the excellent care they gave our loved one and for the support from our friends and family during this time of grief.

Family and friends may call on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home with service immediately following at 5:00 pm.   Reverend Arthur Gary to officiate.
