Obituary of Carol A Baye
CAROL A. BAYE, 75 Of Utica, NY was born on May 5, 1942 to the late Lawrence Peck in Rome, NY. Carol passed away on August 8, 2017 after a short illness.
Carol came to Utica, NY in her early teens and was a graduate of the Utica school system and upon graduation she studied and became licensed as a Nurse’s Aide, working for Genesee Nursing until she had to retire to a work injury. Although retired, that did not stop her from being “mom”, “grandmother”, “Godmother” and “friend” to many. She kept busy doing craftwork, loved the casino playing slots and the watching the races at Vernon Down and Saratoga Springs. Another favorite of hers was playing “BINGO” every Saturday at Holy Trinity Church. Carol was also an avid boater and fisherwoman, who would travel all over Central New York to enjoy her hobbies.
Carol leaves behind to cherish her memories: Goddaughter Vanessa (Marc) Dingle and their children (her grandchildren): Alicia; Luis; Monica, Marc Jr., and Michael. Granddaughter: Anna (Donnie) Wells and their children (her grandchildren): Trina, Alexis, Parisanne, Mariah and Trinity. Special friends: Valerie Youngs, Terry Skramko and Robert Smith as well as the many other children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she gathered on her journey.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all those who have stopped by, called or sent their notes of sympathy and a special “thank you” to Holy Trinity Church who she considered family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made to the family.
