Obituary of Sherri Renee Jones

Sherri Renee Jones, entered eternal rest on September 26, 2018 at the youthful age of 34.  Sherri was born in Utica, NY on September 24, 1984 to Mother Linda Mike (Stepfather Alan Brandon) and the late Father, Jerry Lee Jones, Sr. 

After graduating from Manchester High School in 2002, Sherri enlisted into the United States Air Force, proudly serving from 2003 to 2007, with honorable discharge.  Sherri was always known to be a hard worker, holding a position at Vinfen Corporation for many years.  While employed, Sherri was able to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Springfield College.  Sherri enrolled into the Master's Degree Program at St. Joseph's College thereafter. 

Sherri leaves to mourn and cherish her memory by siblings, Ryan, TJ, Kim, Ciara, Jerry, Jr. Kagney, Shawna, Camille, Essie and Latoya.  A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends remain; moreover, whom she adored was her godson Keiwaun Stange.  Sherri was predeceased  by her brother Terry, maternal grandparents: Bessie and Fred, paternal grandmother, Essie Spike and beloved friend, Domaine Richards.

From childhood, Sherri had a passion for reading and writing.  She enjoyed reading novels, written by black authors, such as Terry McMillan, Zane and Sister Souljah.  Sherri was not only a fashionista, nothing could come in between the love she had for make-up and fashion.  Sherri was someone whose liveliness and humor brought happiness to others.  Every contribution from her to loved ones was always thought-out, specific to the individual and detailed with true compassion.  Sherri's joking personality, laugh, courageous soul and spirit will be deeply missed by all.
