Obituary of Tamara S Berry

Tamara S. Berry, 47 of Utica was called home on November 4^th, 2018. Tamara was born on April 20^th, 1971 in Utica NY to the late Chuck Hicks and Deborah Berry.

Tamara went to Utica Beauty School and received her cosmetology license.  In her later years Tamara attended Mohawk Valley Community College to pursue a Business Degree, but her most proud moment in life was giving birth to her only child, her daughter Cha’Mara Berry.

To know Tamara you know she LOVED the color purple, which came from her love of the recording artist Prince along with the Movie “Purple Rain”. Tamara loved spending time with her family and loved being a photographer at family gatherings.

Tamara leaves behind to cherish her memories. Her significant other and father of her child Charles Smelly (Utica NY); daughter Cha’Mara Berry (Utica NY); Tamara was pre deceased by her father Chuck Hicks (Utica NY); her mother Deborah Berry (Rome NY). Tamara leaves to mourn her step father Clarence Pugh (Utica NY); Siblings Juan Williams (Nancy Williams) (Canastota NY); Dion Pugh (Utica NY) Jeramy Pugh (Rome NY) Tekeysha Hendricks (Utica NY) Step sister Rene Pugh (Cincinnati Oh);  step brother James Chastine (Utica NY) step sister Sharon Gordon (Utica NY) step brother Michael Hicks (Utica NY); step brother Jordan Hicks (Utica NY) Aaron Hicks ( Utica NY); maternal grandmother Annette McClary; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Services will commemorate at Greater Grace Church of Utica (Pastor Kevin Lewis) on November 10^th, 2018. Calling hours for friends will be 11:00am – 12:00pm; Funeral services will begin 12:00pm – 1:00pm, Repass for family will follow immediately.
