Obituary of Mark Francis Rude

Mark Francis Rude, 62 passed away on April 23, 2019 with his wife by his side.

Mark was born on November 20, 1956 to Philip Henry and Nancy (O’Neil) Rude in Syracuse, NY.  He later moved to Utica, NY and obtained his Masters Degree from Syracuse University in Liberal Arts.

With that degree, Mark became a Grant Writer for MetLife and after working for many years, he retired.  Upon retirement, Mark took on the passions that motivated him, and he loved to play the flute and his favorite artist was Shadee.

Mark leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Patrica “Pattycake” Campbell; his step-children Ako Burrell; Trimard Campbell; Madison Anderson; Kymani Minott; as well as many friends.

Mark is predeceaed by his parents, Philip Henry and Nancy Rude. 

The family would like to thank all those who extended their condelences during this time of grief.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home, 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY 13501 and service will immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
