Obituary of Ernest B. Lewis

Ernest B. Lewis, Jr. 67 of Utica, NY passed away peacefully on November 13, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Ernest, the son of Ernest B. Lewis was born on July 12, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY.  Educated in the Brooklyn school district, upon graduation he joined the labor force as a construction worker.

What made Ernest smile…the Lakers and Raiders, BBQ, cooking fried food and being the one that always brought a smile to someone’s face.  A heart full of grace, always putting others first, especially his family and special friends.

Ernest leaves those to cherish his memories, his sons:  Kyree Jamel and Jamel Ernest Lewis; four sisters and special friends Henny “Herc” Newkirk; Jacklyn Saunders as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.

Ernest was predeceased by his father and one sister.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to all those who have extended their condolences during this time of grief.
