On May 21, 2020, Albert "Chucky" Monroe Jr. was called home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family. Chucky was born September 4, 1954, in Utica, NY to the late Albert Monroe Sr. and Juanita Monroe. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy in Utica, NY, and retired from ConMed Corporation after 15 years. Chucky enjoyed family cookouts, he was always the life of the party, and he was a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills and loved to go fishing with his fiancée Kathy. Albert leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Juanita Monroe (Utica, NY); fiancé and longtime partner Katherine Teague (Utica, NY,); son Jerome (Michelle) Monroe (Mississippi); daughter Latonia (Rodney) Johnson (Alabama); 5 grandchildren Jasmine and Ellezeih Monroe (North Carolina); Alan and Akira Shorter and Winter Oliver (Alabama) and 4 great-grandchildren; his brother Bernard "Ricky" Monroe (Theresa), LaVerne Kemp (Pastor Kemp); Tina (Alfonzo) Brown (Melbourne, Florida); Michele "Becky" (Jonathan) Jackson; Emma and Cynthia Monroe all of Utica, NY and uncle Ransom Evans of Syracuse NY; Aunt Dorothy Blair (Charlotte, North Carolina); uncle Archie and aunt Rosetta Evans (Utica, NY) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends. Chucky was preceded in death by his sister Lorine Monroe, his Aunt SueAnn, and uncles Edward Stevens and Sam Evan, Sr. and cousin Sheila Shelton. Services will be held at New Forest Hill Cemetery on Saturday, May 30th, 2020.
