Obituary of Robert Gettys

Robert Gettys, 46 of Utica, NY entered into eternal peace of May 31, 2020. Robert was born on November 27, 1973 to Brooksie Sanders in Jamaica, Queens, where he was educated and graduated within the PS system. He later relocated to Utica, NY in the late 1980’s where he started a career in construction. Robert, through the teachings of his mother, was a man of high moral value and love. His desire was to eventually open his own electronic business, so he started working within the community during his free time to be a “Mr. Fix-It”. Always available to help whenever needed. Motorcycles and music were some of his passions, but family always came first. Robert was blessed by three children, Tanzania, Robert Jr. and Tyreek; grandson “Baby Daniel”; Auntie Cookie; Uncle Tyrone as well as a host of cousins and friends. Robert was predeceased by his mother in 2013. The family would like to acknowledge their sincere appreciation to all those who have called, stopped by or sent their condolences during this time of grief. Robert has finally overcome and found his peace and he will truly be missed but never forgotten!
