Mr. John Henry (Popeye) Beavers, 65, of Utica, died Sunday, October 16, 2011, in the Heritage Home with his family by his side. He was born August 5, 1945, in Leepanto, AR to the late Lawrence and Shirley Young Beavers. He had been employed by the city of Cincinnati, OH, Dept of Public Works for many years. He loved to fish, anytime, anywhere, he was ready to go. He is survived by his daughters, Tina, Brenda and Della Goodson and Angela Beavers, of Utica and Rome, NY a son, Scott Beavers, of Rome, NY, a sister, Darlene Branch, of Utica, brothers, Issiah Jones,of Little Falls, NY, Ernest (Marla) Jones, of Syracuse, NY, Larry (Fletcher) Beavers, of Utica, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends, Friends may all on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 11:00 am until the 12:00 noon funeral service at Greater Holy Temple Church 1309 Howard Ave. Utica. Arrangements by T. Revels-Gibson Fneral Services.
