Obituary of Lemon Pearson, Jr.

Lemon "Fo" Pearson, Jr., 94 of Utica, NY was born to Lemon and Christine Pearson, Sr., in Clayton, Alabama on January 22, 1927. Mr. Pearson, Jr. transitioned to the next phase of his journey on August 25, 2020. Upon his relocation to Utica he met and united in matrimony Lula Bea Dixon on November 16, 1979. He was the pillar of his family, strong on instilling structure, values and love. He was one that anyone could come to for advice or just to catch up. He always had an encouraging word of wisdom, knowledge, and teaching life lessons. He would not hesitate to help anyone. He had a passion for baseball, especially the Yankees and going fishing with his brother. Mr. Pearson, Jr. being the hard worker that he was retired from Utica Boiler as a career machinist. He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Flatcher(Larry) Beavers of Utica, NY; Willie (Georgia) Coney of Albany, GA; Joe Coney; Pandora Anderson of Buffalo, NY; James Dixon; Curtis (Karen) Beavers; Randall Beavers; all of Utica, NY.; three sisters: Mrs. Lula May (Robert Earl) McKay, Mrs. Ella Walker and Mary (Freddie) Parker; special grandchildren: Rashida and Sabrina Doles; James Dixon, Jr., of Utica, NY and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Lemon is predeceased by his daughter, Cathy Pearson; Frances (Cookie) Coney Doles; parents Lemon Pearson, Sr. and Christine Pearson; brothers: Thomas Pearson, Willie James Pearson, John Pearson, Ida Bell Perry, Annie Mae Eutsey and Barbara Ann Heyward. The family would like to acknowledge with sincere appreciation to all those who have extended their condolences during this time of grief.
