Mozell Mitchell, 87, of Philadelphia, NY, departed this earthly life December 28, 2013, in University Hospital, Syracuse, NY. She was born with a twin brother January 14, 1926, in Marion County, GA, to the late Allen and Luedella Palmer Sanders. Mozell moved to Utica at an early age. She worked for many years in the Oneida County Office bldg as a maintenance helper on the tenth floor. She was a member of St. Paul's Baptist Church and was the cook for the Day-Care center on West Street. She also served on the Usher board for many years. Mozell is survived by her Godchildren; Serena Patterson(Gainslee Raymond), Margaret Brown, William Flagg(SafeeBarron) and Sylvester Peterson, ten grandchildren, sisters, Barbara Jean London and Madge Cobbert, sister-in law, Dorothy Sanders and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by siblings; Doris, David. Freddy, Herman, Ruth, Palmer and her twin, J.L. Sanders Friends may call on Friday, January 10. 2014, from 11:00 am until the 12:00 noon funeral service at St. Paul's Baptist Church, located at 219 Leah Street Utica.
